The BASE Awards are the biggest annual celebration of the UK Home Entertainment Industry, with categories open to all across Transactional, SVOD, AVOD & FAST, from retailers, platforms and streamers, to studios, producers and distributors. You can now let your voice be heard and vote the TiVo Entertainment Moment of the Year, one of only two BASE Awards that is voted for by the public and, this year, it’s even more unique.
In 2025, to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of BASE and transactional Home Entertainment, the TiVo Entertainment Moment of the Year will celebrate the standout entertainment moment of the last 45 years!
From Leo and Kate leaning precariously off the front of the Titanic, to Patrick Swayze’s iconic arm muscles/lift in Dirty Dancing, from Bridget Jones’ big pants to Thanos clicking his big fingers, to Doctor Who regenerating (any of them!): what entertainment moment has had the most impact for you in the last 45 years?
TiVo are synonymous with Home Entertainment and the perfect sponsors of this award. And thanks to TiVo, there are some very special prizes to be won. When you vote (one vote only per person) you will be entered into a prize draw to win a state of art Home Entertainment system!
You can vote for ANY moment you wish, as long as it has been released on transactional entertainment in the UK in the last 45 years. For inspiration, a comprehensive list of suggestions can be found below.
Voting will close on the 25th August. At that point, the ten eligible moments with the most votes will be calculated and the voting will be reopened as a shortlist throughout September. The winner will be announced on the night of the 45th BASE Awards!
