The Yummy Yank to be the Official Dessert Sponsor of the 2025 BASE Awards

London, Monday 27th October 2025 – The British Association for Screen Entertainment (BASE) is delighted to announce The Yummy Yank as the Official Dessert Sponsor of the 45th Anniversary BASE Awards, taking place on Thursday 13 November at The Roundhouse, London.

This year’s celebrations will be made even sweeter thanks to The Yummy Yank — the artisan bakery founded by American expat Lisa Gair, whose indulgent, handcrafted brownies have become a firm favourite across the UK. Guests will enjoy a rich selection of her signature creations, lovingly baked and full of flavour, from classic Chocolate Orange and Salted Caramel to festive favourites like the Coconut Snowball.

Each bite tells a story — of family, nostalgia, and the joy of sharing something made with care. The Yummy Yank was born from Lisa’s home kitchen in 1997 and inspired by her father and uncle, affectionately nicknamed Yummy and Yankee. Today, her business embodies both heritage and heart, celebrating tradition while creating something timelessly delicious.

Lisa Gair, founder of The Yummy Yank, said: “The 45th Anniversary BASE Awards feels like a perfect fit for The Yummy Yank. At its core, this event celebrates creativity and storytelling — the same spirit that inspired me to start baking in the first place. What began as a simple story of love, nostalgia and connection through food continues to mirror the stories this industry shares with audiences every day.”

Liz Bales, Chief Executive at BASE, added: “As we mark 45 years of Home Entertainment, we’re celebrating the power of stories — and Lisa’s journey with The Yummy Yank captures that beautifully. Her brownies are made with such care and creativity, and they’re the perfect indulgence for a night that’s all about celebrating excellence, legacy and joy.”

From the first bite to the last crumb, The Yummy Yank will bring a taste of heartfelt indulgence to this year’s awards — a fitting tribute to 45 years of unforgettable stories, shared moments, and enduring creativity.
