Friday 12th September 2025: The British Association for Screen Entertainment (BASE) is delighted to reveal the shortlist for the 45th BASE Awards in November.
This landmark year marks 45 years of celebrating excellence, creativity, and innovation across UK Home Entertainment, as the industry comes together at the BASE Awards ceremony on Thursday 13th November 2025 at the iconic Camden Roundhouse.
The BASE Awards remains the definitive celebration for the sector – shining a light on the exceptional work of teams and individuals across distribution, retail, creative and production agencies and beyond. The 2025 shortlist highlights the strength, diversity, and imagination of an industry that continues to inspire audiences and deliver world-class campaigns and content.
This year’s entries span Best In Class creative and design, to creative and commercial initiatives, social impact, and technical achievement. The shortlist for the prestigious Hedy Lamarr Rising Star Award — shining a light on the next generation of female talent shaping the future of the industry — will be announced next week; as will the shortlist for the physical and digital Retailer of the Year.

A reminder that open voting for the Hidden Gem Award closes today! Hidden Gem celebrates those titles that really struck a chord with audiences regardless of budget. The top ten shortlist for Hidden Gem will be revealed next week, when voting will reopen to determine the ultimate winner..
In 2025, the Entertainment Moment of the Year Award will cover the last 45 years of standout entertainment moments in the UK, giving voters the chance to decide the definitive moment in recent Entertainment memory. The voting for this award will opens today! The shortlist will be revealed later in the month for final voting, and the winner will be announced on the night of the awards.
The winners of the prestigious overall Title of the Year, as well as Title of the Year for EST, VOD, and Physical, Distributor of the Year, Independent Distributor of the Year, and Retailer of the Year Physical and Digital, will all be announced on the night.
