New Award Categories Celebrate the Success and Innovation of all UK Home Entertainment, including the return of ‘Agency of the Year’

Today, the British Association for Screen Entertainment (BASE) announced entries are now open for the BASE Awards 2023.

The BASE Awards are the biggest annual celebration of the UK Home Entertainment Industry, with categories open to everyone from transactional to SVOD, AVOD, FAST & Broadcast.

This year, awards will be split into five categories: ‘OF THE YEAR‘ celebrates the various sales success of organisations and titles: ‘CAMPAIGN‘ highlights the stand-out category campaigns of 2022 and is open to any marketing, advertising or promotional campaign for New Release, Catalogue, Independent, Specialist or TV: ‘BEST IN CLASS‘ rewards best individual creative with new categories for 2023 including Bonus Features, Technical Operations, Video Asset, & Insights added: ‘INNOVATION‘ rewards creative, commercial and engagement innovations that ensure home entertainment is at the front of consumers’ minds and lives, with new awards launching for ‘Script to Screen’ and ‘Social Impact’: and finally, the ‘PEOPLE’S CHOICE & HEROES‘ awards includes the popular individual ‘Category Hero’ awards, as well as the return of the ‘Hidden Gem’ award (which championed titles that captured the imagination of audiences, irrespective of their sales). The ‘Entertainment Moment Of The Year’ award will also celebrate the top entertainment moments that captured the public’s imagination in 2022, regardless of their channel or platform. Both ‘Hidden Gem’ & ‘Entertainment Moment Of The Year’ will be voted on via the website with voting commencing from Monday, 5th June.

How To Enter

You can complete the Entry Form to secure your spot before submitting your final presentation entry no later than Friday, 16th June. All this year’s awards information can be found in the awards entry pack, a comprehensive resource including everything you need for entering in 2023.
