BASE Awards 2026 shortlist sets the stage for a standout night at The Londoner

Friday 4th September 2026, LONDON: The race for the 2026 BASE Awards is officially on, with this year’s shortlist celebrating the campaigns, creative work, commercial innovation and industry talent shaping how audiences discover, access, own and engage with film and television beyond the cinema.

Spanning 17 confirmed categories, the shortlist reflects the range of expertise behind the sector’s success – from standout packaging, video assets and bonus features to insight-led innovation, audience engagement, social impact and campaigns connecting films and television with audiences across digital and physical entertainment. New for 2026, Best in Class: SteelBook® Case recognises the creativity and craft behind one of the sector’s most distinctive premium formats.

Entries increased year on year, underlining continued engagement with the Awards from across the Home Entertainment sector. Among this year’s most widely recognised work, I Swear features across five categories, while Jurassic World Rebirth appears across video, campaign and creative initiative categories. Ran Collector’s Edition and the Superman x HMV Partnership also receive recognition across multiple disciplines, underlining the collaboration and joined-up thinking behind the year’s strongest work.

The winners will be revealed on Thursday 5 November 2026, when 500 guests from across the major studios, distributors, platforms, retailers, agencies and creative partners gather at our new venue, The Londoner, in Leicester Square, for the 46th BASE Awards – the flagship celebration of UK Home Entertainment. Set at the heart of London’s film and entertainment district, the new venue provides a suitably cinematic backdrop as finalists compete for coveted BASE Awards and the industry celebrates the creativity, commercial impact and people driving Home Entertainment forward, from established industry heroes to the next generation of rising stars.

The BASE Awards celebrate excellence across Home Entertainment – the part of the screen-content lifecycle that connects audiences with film and television beyond the cinema, across digital and physical formats. The Awards recognise the creativity, innovation, commercial impact and people shaping how entertainment is discovered, accessed, owned and enjoyed.

Liz Bales, Chief Executive, BASE, said:

“This shortlist captures an industry at its most inventive – ambitious in its thinking, meticulous in its execution and constantly finding new ways to connect audiences with the entertainment they love. What stands out is not only the quality of the individual entries, but the depth of collaboration behind them, across distributors, retailers, agencies, creatives and partners. Congratulations to every finalist. We are hugely looking forward to bringing the industry together at our new venue, The Londoner, in November and giving this exceptional work the celebration it deserves.”

The 46th BASE Awards are made possible by the generous support of the event’s sponsors and partners. BASE would like to extend a huge thank you to BDS West10, BIFA (British Independent Film Awards), Birra Moretti, Disney, DP World, JustWatch, Lionsgate, OC, Official Charts Company, PREMIER, Scanavo, Silk Factory, Sony Pictures, Spirit Entertainment, STUDIOCANAL, The Yummy Yank and TiVo. Their support enables BASE to bring the industry together and give its outstanding people, creativity and achievements the celebration they deserve. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are still available for organisations looking to be part of this standout industry occasion.

Further announcements, including the Hidden Gem shortlist, Entertainment Moment of the Year and BASE Rising Star nominees, will follow in the coming weeks.

The last few remaining tickets for the 46th BASE Awards are available via the BASE Awards website.
