The BASE Awards are the biggest annual celebration of the UK Home Entertainment industry – recognising excellence through Transactional, SVOD, AVOD, and FAST, from retailers and platforms to streamers, studios, producers and distributors.

Once again we are handing the microphone over to you with the People’s Choice: Hidden Gem Award 2025, supported by Criticker! Hidden Gem is awarded to the standout title that captured the audience’s imagination and heart, irrespective of sales or Box Office success. Previous winners include Aftersun (Mubi) and Past Lives (STUDIOCANAL), and now it’s time to spotlight the next unforgettable titles.

You can vote for any title released transactionally in the UK between 1st April 2024 and 31st March 2025. Choose from our curated list below, or if your Hidden Gem isn’t listed, simply select OTHER and tell us your pick! Once we have your initial votes. we will release a Shortlist of the top 10 voted titles for another round of voting to discover our true Hidden Gem!
